● A Blending with the church in Coquitlam

Behold, how good and pleasant, for brothers to dwell in unity! (Psalm 133:1) On July 1, 2012, more than 80 saints from the church in Coquitlam came to blend with the church in Richmond. The total attendance on that Lord's day was over 500 saints, gathered before the Lord's table to remember the Lord and worship the Father.

The saints from Coquitlam testified concerning the grace they have obtained from the Lord, from a small number of saints to about 40 when the church was established in Nov. 6th, 2011, up to the present number of over 80 saints, almost double from last year. This is a wonderful testimony of the rapid advance of the Lord's work by His grace.

The Coquitlam brothers expressed their hope to build their own meeting hall in the future (at present, they are renting a community centre) in order to increase in number and propagate the church life.  After the meeting, everyone enjoyed a love feast and the sweet fellowship in the house of God. We hope the saints form Coquitlam can come to blend with us regularly. May the Lord abundantly bless the church in Coquitlam!

The church in Coquitlam (inclusive of the Tri-cities of Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Port Coquitlam) meets every Lord's day from 10 am to 12 pm at Kyle Centre in Port Moody.

Blending of Districts 1 and 3 producing a fruit of peace
Date: Feb 11, 2012

On February 11, 2012, districts 1 and 3 brothers and sisters had a blending meeting at the home of brother Jie-cai Tian. In a fervent atmosphere, more than 60 adults and children came and filled the house to overflowing. The saints were burning in spirit, singing, sharing, and testifying with much enjoyment and release of the spirit. What made it more joyful for everyone was that brother Guo-ping Li declared right then and there that he wanted to be baptized into the name of the Lord and to enter into the kingdom of God.

Guo-ping Li is the husband of sister Yan Zhang of district 1. He had heard the gospel many times but had not been baptized. His wife and many saints had prayed for many years, and finally at this blending meeting, he touched God and God’s love through the earnest care of the saints, received the Lord’s salvation, and was regenerated to become a member of the household of God, and a fellow partaker of God’s inheritance with his wife and with all the saints.

A blending in Victoria
Date: Sept. 18,2011

Prophesying on the Spirit as a crucial element of the Bible, meeting with the saints in Victoria as one Body in the Lord, enjoying the church life by blending in life and building up in truth

When we left Richmond on Saturday, September 17,  the wind was blowing and rain was pouring, but as we traveled westward on the ferry, all the clouds dissipated. Vancouver Island welcomed us with a sunny day.  On September 18, Lord's day, a group of 8 brothers and sisters took the 7 a.m. ferry to Victoria.  The meeting started at 10:30 a.m. at a rented room in an apartment complex. The local saints were very happy to see us. We partook of the Lord's table with many praises and thanksgiving. The prophesying that followed was full of mutual speaking on the Spirit as one of the crucial elements of the Bible. After the meeting, the saints in Victoria treated us to a buffet lunch at a restaurant, where we continued having fellowship while enjoying the food.    (J./S. Chen)

The saints in Victoria present at the meeting were the Yoon family (from Korea), sisters Jean Wu, Lily Lee and her daughter Winzy, Shelly Ma, Cindy, May, a sister from Montreal who was visiting her parents, a sister from Malaysia who is studying at Camosun College, and the Yoo family who had already moved to Coquitlam. Brother Yoon could attend only on alternate months, rotating between stays in Victoria and Salt Spring Island because of work. We encouraged Peter, a brother who moved from Vancouver to Victoria and studies at UVic, to gain university students for the increase of the church. Speaking on behalf of the other saints, brother Yoon and sister Jean repeatedly invited us and even more saints to go and blend with them more often. They do need our prayers, support, and spiritual supply. May we heed this Macedonian call.  (V.S.)

Hallelujah, the blog is launching now!

The blog is being built to suit the needs of the church for fellowship, announcement, prayer burden, and mutual encouragement.

As you can see, we have provided space for the gospel and testimony of Jesus Christ that saints may post their texts,
and photographs or short video clips which are for gospel preaching and sharing of testimonies.

The purpose is for every member of the Body to have the Body-consciousness, to care for one another, pray for one another, and build up one another.

Praise the Lord, may we have more sharing of the abundance of the body in Him.
